Merrylands Shooting: Police in Sydney’s western suburbs are investigating a series of serious public place shootings in Merrylands, which prompted a rapid pursuit operation and resulted in the arrest of two individuals, authorities confirmed.

According to early reports, NSW Police responded to multiple emergency calls involving gunfire in separate public locations in the Merrylands area. The incidents triggered an immediate and coordinated response from multiple police units, including highway patrol and tactical support teams, as officers worked to locate those allegedly involved.

Following the reported shootings, a pursuit was initiated after a vehicle of interest was identified leaving the area at speed. Police followed the vehicle through nearby streets before it was eventually brought to a stop. Two suspects were taken into custody at the conclusion of the pursuit without further reported incident.
